I can’t picture anyone daydreaming about me. I can’t picture someone thinking about me when they’re laying in bed before they fall asleep. I can’t picture anyone telling their friends about me. I can’t picture anyone getting butterflies because I hugged them, or even just because I made eye contact with them. I can’t picture someone smiling because my name lit up their phone. I just can’t.

When I’m really famous I’m gonna let myself get photographed in Tumblr-friendly poses
Like pointing upwards so you can caption it with “THIS”
And saying sentences that include ‘ship’
And physically dramatic ‘NO’s
So that y’all can easily gif me
You’re welcome
I’m not the only that’s thought this.

I wish we said “fancy” in America. As in, “I fancy you.” It’s such a more agreeable term than “I have a crush on you.” What’s a crush? Like, I AM A BOA CONSTRICTOR AND I AM GOING TO IMMOBILIZE YOU WITH MY MISPLACED AND OBSESSIVE AFFECTION. “I fancy you” is like, you’re so shiny and glittery and I just want to put you on a shelf and look at you for a while ‘cause you’re fancy.

The art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe.
– Gustave Flaubert (via cogito—ergosum) Via As awkward as a Penguin. As awesome as a Unicorn. What I didn’t yet understand was the importance of taste and timing. Books are like people. Some look deceptively attractive from a distance, some deceptively unappealing; some are easy company, some demand hard work that isn’t guaranteed to pay off. Some become friends and say friends for life. Some change in our absence — or perhaps it is we who change in theirs — and we meet up again only to find that we don’t get along any more.

Number one rule of Tumblr.
forever reblog people.

Fandoms are special. We squeal, freak out, and cry together. One day in the future, you might just be working in your 9-to-5 office, lazing away the day. Something will spark in your memory, and you’ll type in that familiar URL. The blogs you never unfollowed will be untouched and pristine on your dash. Many of your friends have grown up as well, but you still can’t help but look at all the people you used to talk to all those years ago. Things will come flooding back, and you’ll remember those years spent on your computer, laughing and yelling and agreeing as people just went crazy. You’ll remember those nights you spent up all night with your friend, talking about the traits of a certain character, or how great it would be if this or that happened. You’ll recall those awesome blogs you always admired. You’ll feel a brief moment of nostalgia. You’ll click back to your dash- it’s empty now. Without a moment’s hesitation, you’ll go and type out, “Hey, is anyone out there?”, and just like all those years ago, you’ll eagerly await a response.
[crying.]
This.
YOU NIGGAS BETTER RESPOND
